The best thing to do is to go directly to Fiverr yourself and see what other people are offering on the platform. Learning a skill that can be offered online as a service is quickly learned.

Similar to selling online with a service, becoming a YouTube editor is a great idea. It may sound crazy at first glance. But think of it this way. Which YouTuber wants to invest time to edit his videos? Many YouTubers are happy to have someone edit their videos for them. Admittedly, for this side hustle, you have to know how to edit videos. Nowadays, however, there are so many free tutorials that you can quickly make your own to learn how to edit videos.

It is best to choose a YouTuber. Even take one of his videos and re-edit it. And then you write to the YouTuber via email, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and convince him with the video you have already edited and that you are willing to edit his videos for a fee. There are many modular systems and content management systems (CMS), such as the ever-popular WordPress (which I also used to create this website) that make it quick and easy to build an online presence. Just look online for a tutorial on how to create WordPress sites and start offering the service right away.

What is the best way to start?

The trick here is to pick a group of professionals that need a website. For example, I know someone who has personally made it a profession by simply selecting a specific group of professions in a particular city, and simply writing to them to see if there is a need for a website.

You take, for example, the professional group dentists or hairdressers choose the best environment, look at the current website and write to them. As with editing the video, it’s best to approach it directly with an example. Show a website you have designed or redesign their current website and present it. Offer your time and ability to create the website. Include a price. Once you’ve started, you’re not far off for the next job. The great thing about once you start spending time designing a website is that you can use the template over and over again. Of course, make sure you change the fonts and design a bit so it doesn’t look the same when you resell the work. After all, you have chosen an environment and the companies in the area compete directly.

5# Online Consulting

Similar to offering your service online, online consulting is about offering your advice or experience in an area. 

If you post a lot on social media, it can become an advantage. Offer your consulting services as a social media consultant. Even if you don’t have any experience in this field, it’s not bad at all. Refresh or expand your skills in this field. Read through books or even blog posts about social media and strategies. What keywords are important in an Instagram post, for example? You can learn all this if you work your way a bit more into the subject. 

So what’s the best way to get started?

In the first step, you should deal with the topic as described. Read books and blog posts or watch video tutorials. When you are ready, it is again a matter of finding a niche. Write to companies. Offer to do one or two posts for free so they can get to know you. If you are successful, the companies are willing to pay for the consulting. It can also happen that the company is even willing to hire you for their entire social media account. Just make sure that you write to companies in small and mid-size (SME – Small and mid-size Enterprise). You do not want to write to individuals. Because individuals are less willing to pay for your advice.
